    ONGOING ACTIVITIES

    • Develop a network of farmers to share strategies, solutions, and equipment for improved farming and marketing. Develop cooperative buying among the membership of soil amendments and seeds at reasonable cost to growers. Create alliances with other agricultural and environmental organizations. Increase consumer awareness of the value of organics and of HOFA Certified produce within the state and abroad. Conduct farm tours, field days, workshops,and trainings for growers, special interest groups, students, and the generalpublic. Provide a database for members of many services including a directory of produce availability. Further organic agriculture research among members and with other associations to meet the challenges posed by Hawaii's unique crops, soils, climate, pests and diseases.
